Keyframe animated character. No MOCAP at all.
“The Beast”, a simple name for a complex character. A truly beast by its rigging. I firstly created that character for an animation serie that never saw the light. Next I gave him a second live after some years, as a learning exercise, and for to show my skill for the portfolio.
Fur animation is done by assigning a bunch of dynamic hairs that controls its motion and collisions. That dynamic hairs are only used for the fur animation, not rendered in that character, as only the fur is rendered.
When rigging, I made ribs bones for to breath. Also hands and toes have not five fingers, but six.
